Cancellations & Refunds Policy

FREAQO acts as an intermediary between you (the user) and professional instructors/guides organizing adventure based experiences. When you book an experience through FREAQO, you are actually booking with the professional instructors/guides directly. To avoid last-minute cancellations which can represent significant losses for our network of professional instructors/guides, they each get to choose the cancellation policy which they deem appropriate for the activities they organize. Due to any reasons or circumstances, if you wish to cancel your booking, the refund will be made subject to the applicable cancellation policy. We have drafted the cancellation policy per the event/activity/experience booking time specification. Therefore, unless specified differently in activity descriptions, each activity is attributed to one of the six following cancellation stages:

General Terms For Cancellation Done By Users

  • If the user or guest cancels the experience from their end, there is no provision to refund the booking charges. But, based on the event cancellation policy level applied, the specified amount will be returned to the user or guest.
  • Per the policy, the user or guest eligible for a 100% refund will be reimbursed with the total listing amount after the discount plus applicable GST on that amount, excluding booking charges and payment gateway transaction fees.
  • The users or guests in the other refund categories (75%, 50%, 25% Refund) will be reimbursed with the total listing amount after the discount, the applicable GST, and payment gateway transaction fees, except for the booking charges.

General Terms For Cancellation Done By Suppliers

  • The suppliers may only cancel the booked event/experience if circumstances beyond their control make the activity performance impossible or dangerous, such as poor weather conditions, an Act of God or any unforeseen and unavoidable event. In such a case, the user will be entitled to a 100% refund including booking charges and payment gateway transaction fees.
  • If a supplier is forced to cancel a reservation, he, along with FREAQO, will try to offer viable alternatives to users affected by the cancellations. We will try to help you through the revision of the original schedule and recommendations for substitute suppliers or activities. However, neither FREAQO nor the suppliers are obligated in any of these situations. The user can accept an alternate proposal or ask to cancel the booking, in which case they would be entitled to a 100% refund per the cancellation policy.
  • Experience Supplier may cancel the booked event/experience if on the booked experience’s reporting day/time they find out that you have submitted wrong or fake information while making the booking or if you are not eligible to do the experience as per the information provided on the listing or even if you booked an experience without reading the eligibility criteria on the listing. In such a case the refundable amount will be decided/calculated after the mutual consultation with all the parties involved, though FREAQO reserves the right to decide the final refundable amount.

General Terms For Cancellation Done By FREAQO Platform

The FREAQO platform may only cancel the booked event/experience under the circumstances mentioned below.

  • If for any reason the supplier fails to approve/accept the booking for which approval/acceptance is required in a timely manner as per the mandatory approval duration chosen. In such a case the user will get 100% refund including booking charges and payment gateway transaction fees.
  • If for any reason the user fails to submit the response to the communication made/initiated/sent by supplier in order to take a call on approval/acceptance of the booking made. In such a case the refundable amount will be calculated as per the applicable cancellation policy on the listing.
  • If for any reason the user decides to leave in the middle of the event/experience. In such a case the refundable amount (in any) will be decided/calculated after the consultation with the supplier. That refundable amount will be excluding booking charges and payment gateway transaction fees.
  • FREAQO may cancel the booked event/experience if the experience supplier find you not suitable/eligible to do the experience due to high risk involved and they inform FREAQO to cancel the booking on their behalf. In such a case the refundable amount will be decided/calculated after the mutual consultation with all the parties involved, though FREAQO reserves the right to decide the final refundable amount.
  • If the cancellation request is raised by the user in the middle of the event/experience due to the non-fulfillment of the promises or services listed by the experience supplier on the experience listing. In such a case the refundable amount will be decided/calculated after the mutual consultation with all the parties involved, though FREAQO reserves the right to decide the final refundable amount. The amount refunded will be excluding booking charges and payment gateway transaction fees.
  • If the suppliers forgets or isn’t available to cancel the booked event/experience under the circumstances beyond their control which makes the booked event/experience performance impossible or dangerous, such as poor weather conditions, an act of God, force majeure or any unforeseen and unavoidable event. In such a case, the user will be entitled to a 100% refund including booking charges and payment gateway transaction fees.
  • If the cancellation is done by FREAQO platform due to shut down of the business/operations. In such a case the user will get 100% refund including booking charges and payment gateway transaction fees.

General Terms for Booking Rejection.

FREAQO offers instantly confirmed bookings to customers, which means FREAQO guarantees that the customer will be able to participate or do the experience that they booked. However, there are certain events/experiences where a confirmation is required from experience supplier’s end and for such bookings they reserve the right to reject the booking or to provide services to the customers. Cases of booking rejection are as follows:

Case 1 – No communication from customers end.

  • This event might occur if a customer/end-user/guest fails to communicate back to the experience supplier through the booking communication channel in a timely manner, in such a case the customer/end-user/guest will be refunded 100% of the booking amount excluding booking charges and the payment gateway transaction fees.

Case 2 – Submitting wrong/fake information.

  • This event might occur if customer/end-user/guest presents the wrong information to the supplier through the booking communication channel, In such a case the refundable amount will be decided/calculated after the mutual consultation with all the parties involved, though FREAQO reserves the right to decide the final refundable amount.

Case 3 – No communication/approval from experience suppliers end.

  • This event might occur if the experience supplier fails to communicate back to the customer/end-user/guest through the booking communication channel or if post communication from the customer’s end, the experience supplier still fails to confirm the booking in a timely manner. In such cases the customer/end-user/guest will be refunded 100% of the booking amount including booking charges and the payment gateway transaction fees.
